Here’s what you can get with your Vivint home system
Unlike most security companies, Vivint’s security and automation offerings are available to renters. Here are a few of the more popular components and services:
Intrusion detection
Motion alarms and glass break sensors can notify you when an unwanted intruder breaks into your rental unit. Receive a text to your mobile device if an alarm trips, or manage your components remotely so you can let in guests or maintenance when you’re out.
Fire, flood, and safety detectors
Ordinary smoke detectors should come with your apartment or rental home, but you may not get other CO or water sensors. Place a wireless carbon monoxide alarm or flood alarm to warn you and the monitoring experts to catastrophes before it’s too late.
Indoor or doorbell cameras
A security cameras may be wirelessly hung so you can keep an eye on certain rooms. A doorbell camera allows you watch -- and converse with -- whoever is at the front door. See real-time HD feeds and texts about possible lurkers through the Vivint App.
Round-the-clock monitoring
One of the benefits of going with Vivint is the monitoring agents that back up triggered alarms. If a component triggers, your monitoring team quickly notifies you to make sure you’re safe. Then they’ll quickly call the emergency agency.
Home automation devices
Automation components, like smart lights, can be added to make your rental home or apartment more efficient. Some components like a smart thermostat or smart locks may involve prior landlord approval.
The Vivint App
Your New Brunswick security system can be managed anywhere by using the Vivint App. Watch real-time camera feeds, remotely arm and disarm components, or set up times for alarms and lights. Then receive texts to your mobile device if an alarm goes off or a security camera detects a suspected lurker.
